Stephanie Ragusa Pleads Guilty — After waiting for around 2 years since the arrest in 2008, finally the former Tampa middle school teacher Stephanie Marie Ragusa, pleads guilty for having sex with 2 teenage students Monday in the court.

As we all know, Stephanie Ragusa faced a series of trials for having sex with two students ages 14 and 16. If convicted, she could have gone to prison for decades. By pleading guilty today, the deal caps possible prison time at 10 years for Stephanie Marie Ragusa, 31.

At Ragusa’s June sentencing, her attorney will argue for much less prison time. Herce says the two years Stephanie Ragusa has already spent in jail is enough, especially when compared to similar cases. After having sex with a student, local teacher Debra Lafave avoided prison and was sentenced to house arrest and probation.

Stephanie Ragusa won a guarantee that she wouldn’t receive more than 10 years in prison and would only face up to 10 years of probation.
