Simplest Way To Remove Category Base In WordPress

There are many ways to do that, but according to my opinion, below is the simplest way to remove category base in wordpress.

1. Go to wordpress dashboard
2. Move to Permalink options (e.g yourdomain.com/wp-admin/options-permalink.php)
3. In the bottom, find options for category base, then just fill it with “/.” (without quotes).
4. Save changes and you’re done

However, to make it works, you have to use permalinks with some structure like /%category%/%postname%/ or its variant. Otherwise, it won’t work correctly.
